NPOWER 2017: See The Moment Npower's Twitter Handle Came Under Siege By Angry Applicants

NPOWER 2017: See The Moments Npower's Twitter Handle Was Under Siege By Angry Applicants

a number of apparently unsuccessful Npower 2017 applicants over the week took to Twitter and other social media channels to vent their anger and frustration at being left out of the programme. A lot of the aggrieved applicants alleged foul play and accused the Npower team of not being completely honest with the recruitment process.

Although the Npower has through their social media channels continue to outline what processes are involved at each stage of the exercise, appearing to carry everyone along, there still appear to be a number of applicants who were not satisfied. for instance, the Npower Boss, Mr, Afolabi had in one of their live Facebook chat, alerted 2017 Applicants that much more people will be left out this year as against the previous year. Reason being that in 2016 the Npower team had to choose 200,000 applicants out of a total of 350,000 applications. However in 2017 as the close of application in July, over 2.5 million applications were received out of which 1.7million responded to the assessment test. so obviously, more than 1.4 million of these people will not be selected.

However, is their still the possibility that there were inconsistencies in the selection process? Join me on this illustrious journey to the twitter handle of the Npower @NpowerNg.

Majority of the applicants believed that the selection favored a particular religion or ethnic group. But there was no coherence in the allegation as it was obvious that while some aggrieved Hausas applicants saw the selection to favor The Yorubas and the Igbos, some Yoruba applicants believed it favored the North as is evident in the following tweets.

Ladies were not left out. This particular applicant even has her reason for suspecting foul play.

And the tribal accusations and blame game continues...

Meanwhile, this man who was also affected was having fun with the whole drama... he was having fun and at the same time confused by the cards that were playing out. He believes there was transparency in the process

Then this man from the blues came with the 2019 Re-election card. But it didn't sell at all...

Yet there were those who trusted that the process was transparent and didn't buy the whole ethnic, religious and political stories.

This Applicant was adamant and wanted the Npower team to publish the criteria for selection as well as the scores of the test. What a hilarious response from the Npower; selection criteria will be published, but scores? this is not JAMB... I busted out😀😀😀😀😀

SEE THE CRITERIA NPOWER USED TO PRE-SELECT APPLICANTS FOR 2017

Some allegations on the qualifications and eligibility of some of the pre-selected applicants were also raised by a number of the aggrieved applicants.

You must give some credit to the social media handlers of the NpowerNG, taking time to tackle all the concerns and respond to every accusation one after the other is unprecedented.

Another allegation of an applicant who was pre-selected despite allegedly not writing the assessment test.

But again, the NpowerNG were willing to prove that all those they pre-selected wrote the test.

While responding to one of the many inquiries, the Npower Team also hinted that they would have a chat with all applicants to discuss available opportinties outside the Npower.
And of the successful applicants expressed their joy! One of them is a man celebrating her wife who recently joined her in the programme!!!

And finally, this Hillarious post!!! I just hope this guy just wanted to add humor to the whole atmosphere. If this is true, damn!!! Both of them na mumu!!! 😕😕😕😕Hoha!!!!

Meanwhile, Npower has since published the criteria used in the pre-selection, read the details here.

What do you think? Has this clarification done enough to convince you that the process for the Pre-selection of 2017 Npower volunteers was transparent? Please drop your opinion in the comment box.
