In 2015 on my way to Lagos for a friend’s wedding, I was seated in a Toyota Siena with two guys, who were obviously heading to the US embassy for an interview.
And they were seriously lamenting about the difficulties in obtaining a US Visa.
Now even though it was a night journey, they were chatting all night.
I joined the conversation; well not because I knew a thing about getting a US Visa then, but because I was curious.
I wanted to know more about getting a US Visa, I might need one someday.
So from that day, I became very inquisitive about getting a US Visa.
I read anything I can lay my hands on about US Visa online, including here on Nairaland.
I asked just anyone I hear traveled to the US. Some provided help, but many had no clue.
A few were just not ready to talk to a random guy like me.
But years went by, I didn’t get anything reasonable.
Well, count down to October 2018, I got talking with a colleague of a friend who just returned from the US.
I had breezed into his office to discuss a pressing matter when over and over, I overheard some of his colleagues tease one of them that he didn't bring anything from the USA.
I remember one of them wondering why he would even return to Nigeria.
Then my US Visa Antenna activated again, and through my friend, I got a few minutes of chat with him 2 days later.
According to him, he got a 2 years US Visa the very first time he applied.
I told him he must be a very lucky guy, but he insisted it wasn't luck!
Apparently, there was something he wasn't telling me.
He confirmed it!.
He was able to get the Visa because he had access to certain insider information that many people who apply for a US Visa do not know.
