Facebook to launch Business incubation hubs, "ng-hub" in Nigeria early next year

Popular social media platform, Facebook, has disclosed that over 22 million Nigerians now use its space every month, with 87 percent of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) utilizing it for digital skills and more. This was disclosed recently by the public policy director, Facebook Africa, Ebele Okobi, during the launch of its Nigerian initiative to reinforce its commitment and investment in the country, and across the continent. According to her, Facebook’s mission was to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. And this demonstrates that the power of digital skills to aid economic growth and development has never been more important. “Our investments and commitments announced in Lagos today further reflect our intent to partner with Nigeria’s policymakers and its vibrant tech and entrepreneurial eco-system to create economic opportunity and independence in Nigeria and across Africa,” she said. NPOWER 2017: See The Moments Npower's Twitter Handle Was Under Siege By Angry Applicants a number of apparently unsuccessful Npower 2017 applicants over the week took to Twitter and other social media channels to vent their anger and frustration at being left out of the programme. A lot of the aggrieved applicants alleged foul play and accused the Npower team of not being completely honest with the recruitment process. Although the Npower has through their social media channels continue to outline what processes are involved at each stage of the exercise, appearing to carry everyone along, there still appear to be a number of applicants who were not satisfied. for instance, the Npower Boss, Mr, Afolabi had in one of their live Facebook chat, alerted 2017 Applicants that much more people will be left out this year as against the previous year. Npower Selection Criteria for 2017  following heated concerns and arguments on social media on the integrity of the just published shortlist of pre-selected applicants for the 2017 Npower programme, those in the eye of the storm the Npower team has published the criteria for their selection to douse tension and clear the air. The Npower through its official Facebook page this morning made public the criteria for selection. the statement read in full; 'The N-Power programme commenced in 2016. The first 200,000 N-Power beneficiaries were selected from 350,000 Graduate applications. In 2017, the N-Power portal opened up for Graduate applications on the 13th of June. Applications received were 403% more than the Graduate applications received in 2016. Congratulations to all the 2017 Applicants! I mean; what a wait! It was almost like forever. But then the N-power has announced through its social media channels that names will be released by close to midnight on Monday, 20th and N-power applicants will be able to check on the N-power website if they have been successful in the pre-selection.  Remember this will not be the final list as there will be physical verifications at your local governments for all the items necessary for enrolment in the N-power programme.  Remember the whole journey?
