YouWiN! Connect BREAKING NEWS…. Online training and Assessment has resumed after YouWiN! Completes routine maintenance on the portal. After running the online training for about a 9 days, the YouWiN Connect team suspended the learning for One week (which is now being extended by a further one day) to carry out routine maintain ace on the portal. However yesterday, a day before the day they were supposed to open up the portal again, the sent out a tough message which suggested the real for the suspension wasn’t for routine maintenance after all but to curtail the excesses of some participants who took advantage of a loophole in the online training to commit fraudulent acts. The online training aspect of the 2017 YouWiN! Connect programme has begun on the 5th of December, 2017. If you made it to the 2nd stage (online training) of the YouWiN! Connect 2017 programme, then note that the training has started. Participants have been receiving their login details to the learning portal since the 3rd of December, and many have gone far in their courses. Yet others are yet to start because they have encountered a number of challenges. These challenges and others are what I will be addressing in this post. Basically, whether you receive your login details on the 3rd of December or much later, everyone has 30 days to complete the online training. How the online course is structured  The online training is the basic requirement for progressing to the next stage of the competition. Popular social media platform, Facebook, has disclosed that over 22 million Nigerians now use its space every month, with 87 percent of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) utilizing it for digital skills and more. This was disclosed recently by the public policy director, Facebook Africa, Ebele Okobi, during the launch of its Nigerian initiative to reinforce its commitment and investment in the country, and across the continent. NPOWER 2017: See The Moments Npower's Twitter Handle Was Under Siege By Angry Applicants a number of apparently unsuccessful Npower 2017 applicants over the week took to Twitter and other social media channels to vent their anger and frustration at being left out of the programme. Npower Selection Criteria for 2017  following heated concerns and arguments on social media on the integrity of the just published shortlist of pre-selected applicants for the 2017 Npower programme, those in the eye of the storm the Npower team has published the criteria for their selection to douse tension and clear the air. The Npower through its official Facebook page this morning made public the criteria for selection. the statement read in full; 'The N-Power programme commenced in 2016. The first 200,000 N-Power beneficiaries were selected from 350,000 Graduate applications. In 2017, the N-Power portal opened up for Graduate applications on the 13th of June. Applications received were 403% more than the Graduate applications received in 2016. As at the time, the application process closed in July 27th, 2017, 2,543,079 people had applied for the N-Power Graduate Programmes.
